Thanks to Invisalign at The Dental Team of Sumter, parents can have a great smile, too!

Hey moms and dads! Focusing on your kids' teeth and oral health so much that you've been neglecting your own? If you've been thinking about having your own set of perfectly-aligned teeth, Dr. Thad Vincent and Dr. R. Capers Lee are here to help! At our convenient Sumter office, we are specially trained to offer an adult-friendly option for straightening teeth called Invisalign.

This course of treatment consists of a set of clear aligners that are molded to fit your teeth using a proprietary technology. You wear them all day and night, except for meals, brushing, and flossing – when you can easily slip them out to make eating and cleaning a snap! And, because they're clear, your teeth will be steadily straightening – and no one will know it but you! Please give us a call at 803-494-8466 to set up a consultation, so we can discuss the specifics of your treatment. We hope you had a wonderful weekend, and we're looking forward to hearing from you!

Dental Office Manager Appreciation Month!

For "Dental Office Manager Appreciation Month," we would like to honor Ms. Julie Tracy. Every month should be an appreciation month for Julie. She is the epitome of what an office manager should be. She handles every task asked of her and more. She does all of this with a willingness to serve and a divine joy.

She rules this office with more of a velvet mitten than an iron fist. Without Julie, treating patients with tenderness and care becomes much more difficult. I cannot say enough about the job she does and the attitude with which she performs it. If you have a chance, please encourage her when you see her. Have a blessed day!

In addition to these foods being gums-friendly, they are healthy foods in general, and a great option to begin integrating into your diet. Hope these tips help! Enjoy your weekend!

At the Dental Team of Sumter, Zoom® your way to a brighter smile!

Happy National Smile Week! Today, we thought we'd talk a little more about Zoom!, the great way to enhance the appearance of your smile. Zoom! is a professional teeth whitening treatment that gets your teeth an average of eight shades whiter — in just one hour! With Dr. Vincent and Dr. Lee, the treatment is safe, simple and relaxing! Plus, Zoom is championed by dentists and patients everywhere as a pain-free process.

To prepare for Zoom! whitening, Drs. Vincent & Lee will examine your teeth and gums to make sure they are healthy. Your lips and gums will be covered with an isolation material to protect them during the treatment. Then, we apply the Zoom! whitening gel, which is activated by the Zoom! light source. The gel and light work together to gently break up the stains on your teeth. After three 15-minute applications within one hour, you rinse and the treatment is complete — leaving you with a brighter, whiter smile.

For more information about Zoom!, or to schedule an appointment, please give us a call! Smile, smile, smile!

Drs. Vincent and Lee, helping calm children's fears and anxieties about dentistry

Our staff at the Dental Team of Sumter know that many children have a fear of visiting the dentist. Hey, it's natural! Last week, we came across a nice article on helping kids overcome fears of the dentist, courtesy of WebMD.

Drs. Vincent and Lee excel at making children feel comfortable when visiting our office. In fact, we wrote a blog about it back in June! Now, most of our young patients look forward to their next visit!

At The Dental Team of Sumter, we care about all of our patients a great deal and treat them kindly and gently. One of our goals here at the Dental Team is to treat every person that walks through the door the way we would want to be treated: PAINLESSLY!

Has your child visited the Dental Team of Sumter in the last six months? If not, it’s time to schedule an appointment by calling 803-494-8466! We look forward to seeing you and hope you're having a fun and relaxing summer!
